When It’s Over

This week, Andrew brought Riley over to spend the day with me. I think Andrew saw what I wrote about missing Riley, so he left him for the afternoon and evening to visit. I was pretty excited to see my guy.

Riley didn’t seem as happy to see me, though. All he wanted to do was chew on my bully horn…the one I got for Christmas.

 

When it got to be bedtime, I didn’t stay in the library with him like I usually do. I lifted my head and went to bed with Mom and Dad.

When it’s over, it’s over. Dad gives Mom red wine and chocolate when she’s sad or upset. Maybe I can get in on that program. For now, I think I’ll just stand in this sunbeam.

  19. Wine and candy is good for humans, not so much for us puppers. Maybe the lure of the bully horn was just too much. This may be temporary. Maybe you’re “on a break” like Ross and Rachel…

  22. Good to find out about Riley now, Lucy. You can move on without a problem. It must have been infatuation. This passes as you saw. You know it’s over and you can move on now with no problem whatsoever.

  26. Lucy I know it’s hard to make changes in life but you have a wonderful family that really really wants you to be your happy self again. Do I dare ask? Can you play sticks with Xena? Maybe she’s old enough to catch on if you show her how.
