Lucy, Ace Reporter here, with news on the Groom Beat. Not too long ago I reported about Mom’s record setting six hour groom. If you missed that one, you can read about it here. Aoife (pronounced eefah), the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, came back on Monday for her second professional groom. I will add kudos here to her mom and dad for keeping all the mats brushed out of her fine, thick coat. After all the preliminary stuff – you know, cutting toenails, pulling hair from ears, combing through her hair – it was time for her bath before getting her haircut. Aoifa’s almost too big for the bathing sink, and didn’t want to be bathed. Mom wrestled with her to keep her in the sink, but Aoifa was determined.
She climbed up on the top ledge of the sink! That was another first. We can’t wait to see what happens in six weeks when she comes back for her third professional groom. Oh, and it only took three hours, this time. Maybe next time will be even shorter, ya think?
Lucy, Ace Reporter, signing off with wags and kisses
You had a dog standing on your head during her bath, Granny T? I would have like6 to have seen that ! Lucy

Charlee: “Wow, that is some pretty epic bath-avoiding technique there, don’t you think, Chaplin?”
Chaplin: “Shhh, I’m taking notes, just in case.”

Aoifa is Irish, just like the breed. Her folks love her to be well-groomed, too.

Mom said 2 hours would be good. A lot of grooms take 1 and 1/2 hours anyhow.

Lucy, Please tell Mrs. Amy we know she is a really good groomer and bath giver and wish she did long distant grooming. But I sure understand how Aoifa feels about baths. ~nose nudges Belle Pup

At least he is entertaining. I bet your mom will get him down to a two hour by the end of the year.

It is true, Millie and Walter. Resistance is futile. I just jump in the tub when Mom takes wants to give me a bath, cause it’s easier than fighting it.

Great reporting.Lucy. The good part was the dog wasn’t standing on Moms head. That happened here last week. I don’t understand. If they can play in every mud puddle they find outside how can they go ballistic in a calming bathing sink.?

Aoifa did her best to avoid that bath but we know your mom triumphed in the end.
