I saw this pup who looked and moved just like Lucy as I was leaving the grocery. Although I never condone leaving a dog in a car, the weather was perfect for her not to be in danger.

Lucy: Hey, I have a doppleganger!

Xena: Sounds like you need to get help for that condition.
Lulu: “Uh-oh! A doppelganger? Xena, you’d better ask Lucy a few questions only the real Lucy would know the answer to, just be sure nobody pulled any funny business!”

I can understand someone rushing in to get something they need to buy but its still not a good idea. You never know if you’ll run into a friend or something might happen so you can’t get back in a quick fashion. I would never try this with a cat. Tyebe would be acting out “A Streetcar Named Desire” and Calling for me in a loud annoying voice!

Even though I don’t do it, I can see if you’ve been somewhere with your dog and need to run into the store to buy something. As long as they aren’t going to overheat. But I still don’t trust someone not to do something to them.

A really cute doppelganger (just like Lucy) but who takes their dog shopping?! Weather notwithstanding, it still seems like a dumb thing to do. 😬

When it’s cold out it’s okay to have your baby in the car, but not when it’s warm. That car can heat up fast.
It’s a good thing to have a doppelganger. It really is. Cute.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

Lucy, are you sure it isn’t a littermate?

Yes, for a medium to large sized dog, at that.

Yes, I’ve called animal conrol when I’ve seen a dog in a hot car but the car always left before anyone showed up. My big worry on even cool days is someone taking one of my babies. I never ever leave them in the car without a human escort.

Our Jake was almost your doppleganger, and this one is really close to you. we NEVER leave a dog or a child in the car In Florida there is no day safe from sunstroke, even our coldest days. also there are human snakes to worry about stealing cars and dogs. Last week a lady went in the store left the car running with 18 month old in car seat and the car was stolen with the baby. People are crazy, this is one of my Rant Subjects. I came out of Walmart about a year ago, and there was a dog crying in a car. I was stading at the car taking a photo of the tag and about to call the animal control when the man came out yelling what the hell are you doing,
I said i want to know what the hell you are doing leaving adog in this heat in your car. He can die an just a few minutes. Lucky for me he did not shoot me

I remember as a child how we’d love to ride in the back glass like that. Oh sure, it wasn’t safe but we didn’t know of such things in those days. Today, it’s like gasps of horror fall off your lips if you hear such things and truly one has every reason to be scared half to death if a child attempts such things with a car in motion. It’s even dangerous for animals. Oh well…I’m rambling a bit. Thanks for sharing Lucy’s doppelganger with us. I’m visiting from Sandee’s. Please stop by for a visit when you can at Curious as a Cathy
