I love laying here in the red chair like this, looking out the window. The sun is so warm on my furs! When I concentrate I can almost see the little buds trying to pop out on the tree branches.

Every once in a while I get to see a deer or two walk into our front yard. When that happens, I start making these high yipping noises cause I’m so excited. I want to run out and, and, well, I don’t know. I just want to go out and see and smell them. I think we could all be friends.
Mom moved her work office up from the downstairs so her and Dad could use the dance floor again. Now the office is in the front room. Even though it takes up half the room, she was careful to leave the red chair in front of the window so Xena and I could continue to keep a watch on the neighborhood.
With Mom working from home, and Dad working from home all but the two days he goes into his workplace, I’m rarely alone.

That also means shorter naps. It’s always, “Lucy, does this email I’m sending to everyone sound OK? Here, let me read it to you.” Or, “Lucy, would you shed a little more on these letters I’m getting ready to mail?” Or, “Lucy, do you want some lunch?” And sometimes, “Lucy, come help me groom this difficult dog.”
It can be tiring work.

Then there’s my little sister. She likes the red chair too. Sometimes she jumps over me to the top. Sometimes she brings one of her stuffies with her.

And every once in a while she politely asks if she can lay up here too.
I never say no. We’re good about sharing. We’re kinda like that song “Sisters” that Mom likes.
Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir
I’m here to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing
When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome
She wore the dress and I stayed home
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain or sun
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one, uh-huh
Those who’ve seen us
Know that not a thing can come between us
Many men who tried to split us up, but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And Lord help the sister that comes between me and my man
This is Lucy in the Red Chair, wishing you a happy Friday.
We’ve got it just right so you can sink down into it. You’ll sink more if we sit on your lap! XOX Lucy and Xena

They don’t go out that much but when they do, they take the dogs. I’m glad I don’t have to go.

Hi Lucy! Me and the cats do multi level snoozing in the window. Our living room has a bay window and it is right at the same height as the back of my sofa. We love to watch the deer too, but I, Cinnamon yell at them! We hope you and Xena have a marvellously happy day!

Mom says she knows that son. We’re not older than dirt, er, as old as Mom, so we don’t know it either. XOX Lucy and Xena

That red chair is the perfect lookout spot and a super spot for catching sun puddles. It’s nice that you and Xena are able to share that space.

That is so a terrific spot. I am sure it is warm. I know you must get tired of having to help your parents with their work.

We can tell time too! We know exactly when “food” time is. Angel Lexi knew when GTM (Get The Mail) time was with Dad. She always got a treat after going to the mailbox with him!

That is such a cozy spot, Lucy, and a great place to watch the Critter TV Channel. And when you have Xena there with you, that just makes it extra sweet.
We don’t enjoy our ‘alone time’ that much, either…but then its great fun when they get back from whatever they were doing.
We always run outside at about 1030 at night, cause that is when *she* gets back from her work. We can tell time:)

We sure don’t like the idea of Mom and Dad leaving us alone again. We don’t even like it now when they “go to the store for a few minutes.” They should stay home or take us with them! XOX Xena and Lucy

Oh my dear Lucy I love looking at you looking out the window and I love seeing the two of you sharing a chair made for two. This post has made me feel so happy just watching you laying in that chair and that is the perfect spot for a Xena like that pillow was custom-made. Dancing is really good exercise great idea to come up out of the basement. We fear bow will be upset when we go back to the YMCA pool because he has been had somebody with him for all the months we had him he’s only been left alone and our the time for a few doctor appointment
