Lucy, Ace Reporter here on the Groom Beat.
Today we have a new yorkie to introduce to you. You may rememer Chaz and Chloe, long -time clients and friends. Their Mom knows JoJo’s Mom. So when JoJo needed a new groomer, her Mom asked, “Who grooms your yorkies? They always look so good on Facebook.” We got four-year-old JoJo in the next day, right after Chaz and Chloe. Here she is after her groom.

Her Mom said it had been four weeks, and apologized about how bad she looked when she dropped her off. Groomer Mom just kinda scratched her head at that one. Four weeks. Not long.
JoJo was scared and saying No! with her mouth when it was nail cutting time. Thankfully Dad was home during the groom and held JoJo in his arms while Groomer Mom trimmed her nails. With just her here and not a lot of barking and other stuff going on, we hope, with time, she will start feeling safer and less afraid. Her Mom loves her very much, so JoJo feeling better will make her happy, too.
JoJo’s Mom said she had been looking for a groomer who worked out of her home instead of one of these drop off and leave all day places. She was thrilled when she came back for her an hour and a half later and asked to make her next appointment. She said the last groomer had her coming every two weeks. (Well, that explains the apology for four weeks.) When Groomer Mom said she grooms her own dog every four weeks, and JoJo would do well with that, she booked the appointment right then.
We are happy to welcome JoJo the Yorkie to our grooming family!
Lucy, Ace Reporter, signing off with another successful groom.

JoJo looks great. We think 4 weeks sounds perfect. Mom goes to the hair salon to get groomed herself every 4 weeks. It works for her. She tosses me in the bathtub a few times a year and that’s it for me.
Love and licks,

That pup reminds me of Foley. I think the former groomer was taking advantage of that nice lady.

We didn’t know Yorkies needed grooming so frequently. No wonder they always look so perfect and cute. We cats do not care for grooming, though lap time brushing is very nice.

It sounded like your set up was essentially as humane as my groomers.

Your mom is the best groomer ever. So glad JoJo will be getting her monthly cut. Lucy you and Bobo don’t have to be groomed and that’s a wonderful thing but then Mama wouldn’t have a job

Awww, JoJo is adorable. I know you’ll become the best of friends when she figures out that your place is way better than the groomers that have all the pups there all day. Good for her and good for you.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. ♥

Jojo is such a cutie. We bet she was much happier being groomed at your house instead of a big business full of barking pups.

That’s fantastic, Doug. Every cat should have a groomer like that. I don’t have a play area, but I do take only one or one family of dogs at a time, so there is no waiting around unless, like I said, there is more than one dog coming from a household, and then they are free to roam the small room where I groom.

BOL! Mommy says she can’t cut people hair. Well, what she means isn’t that she CAN’T, you just wouldn’t want her to! XOX Xena

My groomer brings her shop to your home – it’s a trailer shop she moves with a pickup – and my kitty is much happier than his old groomer since she has a play area for pets’ wait times instead of having them endure time in a carrier. He’s even a happy boy (for a cat!) during wash and dry, and his groomer claims he’s a really good kitty for her! I suspect pets left at your home for grooming share similar experiences with you, and return to their moms and dads happy pets! While he and his late brother got excellent care for years at the old groomer’s, she decided not to groom cats any longer because her cat groomer retired It turned out to be a happy deal since the new groomer is super!
