A Bunny Nature Friday

Big wags to Rosy and Sunny over at the LLB Gang for hosting Nature Friday! We don’t have a lot of nature to show today, but, in keeping with Easter, we do have a coupla bunnies.

Eastern Cotton Tail

The next bunny is, well, maybe it is “somebunny.” Our friends Sunshine and Ruthie went to visit the Easter Bunny and sent us some pictures.

Above is Sunshine, a 15-year-old long haired cairn terrier/beagle mix. She’s been coming to see us to look pretty for quite a while now. Do you think that’s really the Easter bunny who’s holding her?

Here’s Ruthie, a rescued greyhound. She comes along with her sister Sunshine to get a pedicure.

Whether or not that is really the Easter Bunny, we all want to wish our friends a happy and blessed Easter and Chanukah.

  2. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m picturing it in my mind.
We adults take some things for granted, and often don’t think about how a child or a pet will perceive what we know is harmless. Even worse, how they might perceive what we know may kill them!

  3. While reading your post (which I enjoyed) I remembered taking our 4 y.o. daughter was to the mall to see the Easter bunny. She was quite excited..she loved bunnies.
OMCs she was not at all prepared for what she saw. She expected a bunny in a cage nibbling and hopping about.
What she was a GIANT bunny, a person in a bunny suit.
The head was huge and with the ears that bunny must have been 7′ tall. Her eyes got as big a saucers she looked at us and while backing away said please don’t let that big bunny come in my house. We quickly learned from that moment full disclosure on new events was necessary.
