Xena’s New Vantage Point on Selfie-less Sunday

Lucy: We were all outside on the porch, enjoying a beautiful day.

I’ve heard both Mom and Dad say, “They only learn the bad things from each other.” Being the youngest, Chia has a habit of getting on things like tables and kitchen counters. Lately, Xena has been immulating her.

Xena: It was easy getting up here. I can tell this is where Daddy eats. I can still smell his food. He’s a messy eater.

I can see everything that’s goin’ on in the woods from up here. No wonder Chia likes to do this.

5 minutes later

How am I going to get down? Mom! Where’s Mommy? I need to do my selfie!

Oh well, it’s not supper time yet. *yawn* Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

  10. Long years ago, MJF used his pogo stick legs to jump straight uup onto the didning room table…we banged the table to startle him and down he went to run around like the crazy JRT puppy he was. I think one of our cats was up there…chaos!
    So we have not taught jumping or climbing skills to either Dalton or Benji…though I think Benji would do it on his own if he was motivated enough…but right now no kitties here or other small critters to tempt him!
    You all do look comfy, with your nap spots…and Xena you have a cute booty! BOL!

    Lulu: “You realize Xena and Chia are dogs and not cats, right?”
    Chaplin: “Sure sure. But still. The height principle applies, doesn’t it?”
    Lulu: “Not exactly, no.”

  29. I have to say none of our dogs have ever gotten on anything other than chairs/sofas. glad for that since our table is glass. Now we need to know just how you got down from that table Xena. Beau says he wants a back porch just like yours. he would be doing what Riley and Lucy are doing.
