No Spay Friday

Hiya, it’s me, Chia, still intact and a happy girl! What happened you ask? No, Xena, I didn’t give them such a hard time that they sent me home. Me and Mom, we were waiting in the car to be called in. I had just about gotten her calmed down — I could tell she was upset even though she kept smiling and petting me and talking sweet to me — when her phone thingie rang. It was the person in the spay clinic calling to say our appointment was for next Tuesday, July 11. Mom had gotten the wrong day BOL! If you think I’m kidding, take a look at this…

No incision. Just happy me. So on the way home Mom took me to the dog park to play and run on some agility boards and both of us got pretty muddy. Then we went home and I got my breakfast and played with Lucy. It’s been a good day.

XOXOXOXOXOX Chia (aka Chi Chi or Mia Chia, or the Flash or The Long One)

  1. Charlee: “Any day without a spay has got to be a good one, hey?”
    Oona: “What is a spay?”
Lulu: “You’ll find out in a few weeks.”
Oona: “BUT OONA WANTS TO KNOW NOW!!!”
Charlee: “Trust me, you’ll be happier not knowing until you have to …”

  3. Yes, Elsa, something’s out of alignment. Mom’s just glad she didn’t argue with the girl, but came home and dug up (he he) the original confirmation text. Yep, it said July11. XOXOXO Chia

  4. Oooh, a dog park day sounds so much better. Tell your Mom I did a similar thing. There must be some weird moon/sun alignment going on. Otherwise how do you explain two Moms getting dates wrong on the same day?

  5. Dad admitted that he felt a huge relief when Mom called him and told him it wasn’t happening that day! Maybe I should be more worried… XOXOX Chia

  6. Oopsie. That was a relief for you all to get a reprieve….hopefully things will go well the next time!
I got a last minute cancellation for a major surgery years ago…and our pastor was already almost there…coming from another town…oh well, we had a good laugh about all that, much later, but I was rather furious, because the doc hadn’t consulted the other one involved…sigh…and I was all prepped, etc.

  7. Wow, did you luck out, but it would have been good to get it over with. Now you and your mom have the stress of anticipation for next week. Good luck on the 11th!
