Xena’s Happy Tuesday

Hi there! Mommy didn’t have time or energy (so she claims) to help me show you a little more of my time in Fort Wayne, Inn Dee Anna while we were there. So here are a few more pictures I wanted to share with you.

This first one is of my Daddy pushing his Mom – my Grandma – in her wheelchair for a walk through the neighborhood where she lives now. Her home is called Saint Anne Home and Retirement Community and she has a room there with lots of helpers and other older people. I let Grandma pet me, and a lot of the other folks who live there pet me, too. I didn’t really like all those strangers touching me, but I was a good girl and let them. I’ll never understand why Lucy and Riley love that so much.

We walked about eight blocks from where we were staying to visit with Grandma. Then we walked some more (as you can see) before we said goodbye and walked back to our Air B & B house. I sure got my exercise that day!

On the way there we walked through the park that was across from our temporary house. It was really pretty with tons of flowers and water and stuff.

The sign says, “Lakeside Rose Gardens.” Lots of people get married there. Then they can play basketball or tennis on the courts in the same park! Well, I guess someone can do that even if they don’t get married. Our temporary house is back behind Daddy, across the park and across the street.

I managed to sneak in one more picture of me before Mommy hit “Publish.”

I was in the bathroom waiting on Mommy to finish, well, you know, what people do in the bathroom. That rug was soft and I really like how the blue and white look against my hair.
I’d better hit “publish” before Lucy Deucy sees my blog post and tries to delete this part. She can be so proper…always one to follow the rules…except for her new strange obsession with eating dirt…

  1. Java Bean: “Ayyy, that looks like a great place to walk and pick up some new sniffs. The flower garden is so pretty!”
Lulu: “I sleep in the bathroom sometimes too, Xena, but usually that’s only when there are extra loud booms and I need someplace even safer than under Dada’s desk. Unless Dada is there of course, then his desk is the safest place to be.”
Chaplin: “Because, what, if the roof collapses, he will catch it and hold it up from landing on you?”
    Lulu: “Yes, exactly.”

  2. This is so cute!!! I love reading your posts, Xena. And all the pretty photos of you make it even better. Sounds like you were a very good girl. My cats wouldn’t like lots of strangers petting them either. 🙀 You were very patient to allow them to do that. I hope your Mom gave you a very special treat for being such a good sport. If not, tell her you deserve it. lol!! 🩷

  3. I know Angel Lexi had to get used to the littles, and it took he being in that play for it to happen. I’ll have to ask her to come in my dream again and tell me more about it. XOX Xena

  5. Looks like you had nice walkies in Inn Dee Anna. Just remember lots of pets means people like you and when they like you, they often give you tasty treats. Just saying. We learned that from experience. 😉

  7. Dear Xena, we’d like to give you an A-plus today for letting all those people pet and love-on you cause we know it’s a really happy thing for them to do (it makes them feel good) and it was super nice of you to allow it. Am sure your Grandma was proud to show you off! And you had some lovely walkabouts in a very lovely place, too!

  9. What pretty photos and you on that blue bathroom rug which looks quite comfy. Maybe your Mom can get you a blue rug to lie on??? Getting married in a rose garden sounds very romantic (I’m not sure what that word means but Mom says it’s a good word).

    Hugs, Teddy
