Lucy: I’m thankful for Angel Brian, who is hosting Thankful Thursday, as well as Angel Sammy for the fun picture every week. I hope no one is upset that I added one little detail to the picture – do you see it? Now for my poem.

Double Jeopardy by Lucy
The workers drove a jeep of blue,
Climbing the cliffs of Timbuktu.
To build a house upon the top
Despite the precarious drop.
Then suddenly there did appear
A huge creature with lots of hair,
Blocking the path they must traverse;
They feared returning in a hearse.
Slowly they did back away
While hoping Sasquatch there would stay.
‘T’was not a place a home to build
Unless you were in a Big Foot guild!
Wow, I sure hope my Mom and Dad never decide to do something like that. I’ll have to say, “Just leave me here!”
Chia: I was very sad when Miss Jentry went home on Sunday evening. I curled up in bed with Bro Andrew and cried for a while. But I’m thankful she’s coming back this Sunday…maybe even sooner!
Xena: I’m thankful that our twice a year vet visit to have blood drawn for our DNA heartworm test is done. I don’t like going to the vet. I hide under the chair.
Chia: Hey Xeboo, didn’t you hear what happened? Mom set the vials of blood with the cold pack on top of the car before she helped us back into the car, then she drove away. She didn’t realize what she’d done until we got to FedEx and she couldn’t find the blood they stole from us. Dad’s taking us back again today for “another stick.”
Xena: Noooo!! *shaking and hiding under the kitchen chair*
Lucy: I hope all our friends have a good Thursday and no one tries to steal your blood.
That’s a great idea..extra treats!

Oh no! Blood work again, no holiday joy there! Maybe you’ll get double treats for the extra visit and extra stick to you. Best wishes and wonderful holly days! xo

Oh no, so sorry you guys had to do a repeat blood donation. Great job with this week’s poetry. We’re with you…no Squatch for us either.

Angel Lexi was a lot like Charlee. She always knew, even though she got to go tons of other places.

We don’t think a sasquatch was driving the jeep, silly. He, he.

Charlee: “I’m right there with you, Xena. I try to hide under the sofa when Mama and Dada are looking to take me to the vet. I can always tell!”
Chaplin: “Yes you can! And that’s why after breakfast they lock you in the office now on vet days, so you can’t escape.”
Charlee: “Shut up.”

Hopefully the Sasqatch is good at driving in reverse.

I don’t know, the pistol may be the worst… and our 2nd sticking has gotten postponed until next month cause of everyone here getting sick and because of the holidays and FedEx delays (with blood). So, no reprieve, just a little longer to worry about it. XOX Xena

Oh no! What a bummer. It’ll be a miracle if there’s any blood left inside you kids at all!

Mommy and Daddy’s “flu brain” should be all better by January when they had to reschedule the vet appointment cause they’re both sick! XOX Xena

You’re right, Teddy. And she had already locked herself out of her car that morning and had to call AAA to get back in where the keys sat on the passenger seat. She found out yesterday that she has the flu or something and that explains why her brain isn’t in good working order. Poor Mommy. XOX Xena

Mommy and Daddy both got sick so now we don’t have to go back to donate our blood until January! (Maybe I can woof them out of it before then, BOL!) XOX Xena

We love our poem and think it’s perfect. Too bad about having to get your blood stolen a second time. Make sure those vials don’t get left behind again.

Lucy!!! What a fantastic poem you wrote for that SKEEEERY photo! It’s perfect – totally including the Sasquatch monster waiting on the corner…..AND as for your Mom leaving your very own blood on top of the car and driving off – well – you know what? Humans are not QUITE as perfect as we wish they would be sometimes but they love us and probably feel AWFUL when they do something like that so forgive and forget. After all – they feed us!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Huggies, Teddy
