Thanks to Comedy Plus for hosting Awww Mondays
I’m still hunting Miss Mousie. Mom has given me permission to send her to the bridge where she can play with all the Mousies who went there before her. I go into stealth mode when I hear her. Mom’s cut the first 30 seconds of the video. She said it looks like something called a “still” cause I stand posed perfectly still, not moving a muscle. Important for the hunt but boring for the video, I guess. Here I am as the mighty hunter!
The music that’s playing is called “Inescapable.” Mom thought that was quite suitable for what I was doing, BOL Hope you enjoyed! (I still haven’t caught Miss Mouse.)

Thanks, and I sure hope so! XOXOX Chia

I’m so sorry to hear you have a mouse! One got in Grandma and Grandpa’s house and chewed through the line to the dishwasher and caused a plumbing disaster in the kitchen. The kitchen is having to be redone because of it, the whole floor was ruined and the cabinets started to rot.
I hope you get it soon, you look like an excellent hunter.

It is definitely beyond time for that mousie to go to the bridge. Enough already. Good luck in your hunt, C. You can do this.

How funny!!!! Your pups crack me up!! Living in South Carolina and especially in a forest is a unique experience. For example every night the spiders come out. These spiders are as big as the palm of your hand. They build webs that stretch 10 feet in length attached to the trees and the house. At the same time Palmetto bugs come out. Those are huge, the size of water bugs, BUT they fly and will attack you. They cover the entire outside of the house every night. My cats love to line up at the sliding glass door every night and watch them skitter across the porch. I saw one out there last night that must have been 3 inches long including its wings. No one goes out around 2:00am because the houses are transformed with these huge webs and spiders draped around the yard and palmetto bugs covering the entire outside of the house. Looks like a horror movie set. It’s a feeding frenzy. lol!! The crazy thing is all the webs and bugs are completely gone by sunrise. Otherwise these huge spiders and palmetto bugs would be easy prey for all the birds waking up in the forest. It’s like living in the Amazon jungle here. And sometimes these are the critters that find their way into the house. 😱

Here, August is also usually the hottest and driest month of the year. Really hot this year, but not so dry. You need some centipedes to rid you of the big bugs. How strange you suddenly got lizards, though. I’d sure rather have lizards than bugs anyday. And Lucy has a strange history with lizards…they drop off the house, she opens her mouth and swallows them. Xena chases them, Lucy opens her mouth and they run in and she swallows them. 😂😆🤣

Good luck! I’m sure by the time your Mom gets home from her trip that mousie should be nice and RIPE after you’ve caught it – she’ll love that (tee hee).

Too funny!!! You would love my house these days. I keep finding these precious little 2-inch gecko lizards in the house. On the stairs. In my bathroom. Inside the garage door. Everywhere!! We’ve lived here 28 years, and I’ve never seen a lizard inside the house. Lots of big bugs, but no lizards. Now suddenly I’m seeing them every week. I guess it’s all the rain we’ve had? Who knows? August is usually insanely hot and dry. But not this year. Maybe the geckos are as tired of getting wet as I am and have decided to come inside where it’s dry. lol!!!

Barely an anticipatory tail wag! You’re special forces ready … oh, hey, once assignment is successful and bridge-prep complete, save a tiny morsel for me, purr-please, I do love a good mousie-taste now and again. Thanks, June the Cat

Stealth mode is very important when you are hunting/stalking! Good job…be patient and you just might catch it!
Do you point?? MJF used to do that, his upright sort of curled tail went straight out behind him, and he’d lift up a front paw…he was trying to hunt a rabbit…
