Lucy’s Strange Sunday Selfie

Xena: Thanks to The Cat on My Head  for hosting Sunday selfies! We have a bit of a different selfie to show you today. It was storming hard with lots of rain and thunder, so Daddy let us go downstairs with Mommy while she was grooming. It’s a lot quieter down there. There was a medium sized Golden Doodle on the table, who became very interested in us. Lucy got under the table as her “safe place” from the storm. That’s when things got a bit weird. Lucy, why don’t you take it from here?

Lucy: Yes, it was thundering hard, but I felt safe under the groom table and between Mom’s legs. I felt so safe that I decided to practice my Jewish name: Ora. Ora means light or shiny. I had just had a bath the day before, so my coat really was shiny. But I wanted to be a light to the sweet girl up on the table. So, here’s my selfie!

Yes, I love the feel of freshly cut dog hair falling on me.

    You don’t mind some other’s furry tufts falling on you? That would make us sneeze! BOL!

Oh ,my sweet Lucy girl, I thought you bought a doodle toupe. or got a permed wiglet… you look so cute under the table, and this is a really excellent selfie.. wish I could hug you sweet Ora-Lucy… I see sweet Achilles on the side bar and he was alright also…. you do have a special light about you Lucy…..

  21. How CUTE!!! Yes, you are very shiny and pretty. Even with all that doodle hair falling on you, which just means you get the pleasure of a good brushing from your mom afterwards. The perfect distraction from nasty thunder and lightning. Happy Sunday!! 🩷🐾😘

  22. Lucy we had thunder and lightning and a HUGE amount of rain – all in about 15 minutes – then the sun came back out. Strange but a little bit scary……I stayed by my Mom and felt safe then I wanted to go out and have a good sniff!!!
