Boring Days

Mommy and me, we aren’t working at the St. Luke church anymore. We went from 3 days to 2 days to 0 days. You can see I was always busy there; never a boring minute. We took my ‘puter home with us (you can see a little of it just behind my bed) and I am still waiting on the IT people to set it up for me at home.                                                                       Me busy at work

I can’t go to Mommy’s new job at another Methodist church ’cause they have something called a Licensed Daycare. Mommy said I wouldn’t like it there anyhow, ’cause there’s lots and lots and lots of little screaming kids right outside her office door. She puts on her headphones and listens to music. I don’t have any headphones, but it doesn’t matter ’cause I’m not allowed to go anyhow. So here I am without a job. Sometimes I get so bored I count the flowers on the blanket. Yep, my Guardian Angel Lexi is teaching me how to count. So far I can count one plus one plus one. I think that comes to one.

At least Mommy’s home with me on the days we used to go to work together. And so is my friend Sweetheart Bear.Sometimes we watch Netflix shows together. Last week I saw this huge animal on the TV and I barked and barked at it. I found out it is called a horse. The rest of the afternoon, I barked at the TV every time I walked past it, just in case that horse was still there. I wanted it to know I am a brave Schnauzer Princess Warrior. I think I scared it away, too.Sometime I play with my bones and bully horn. I chew them and I throw them and push them all over the house. It makes tons of wonderful noise. The only problem is I won’t be able to hear the horse coming because of all the noise. Mommy says that’s ok, she can’t hear anything, either, when I am doing that.                        Will someone please find Xena a job? ~Lucy

  21. oh I’m so sorry that you lost your job… but to watch netflix is like a job too… at least the mama said so…
    and maybe it is good to relax while we have such heatwaves… it is even toooo hot for mischief…sigh…

  22. Well poo! That sucks you lost your job! Wells, some peeps have no sense at ALL! Wells, at least you’re keepin’ your sissy busy and awake with your bullyhorn music! I do that too with the Kong wobble…it makes the most FABulous noise when it hits the walls and furniture! BOL
    Anyhu, if you wants to do zoomies in my looooong tunnel, come on overs ~ it can be ‘our’ new job! ☺

  27. We’re sorry about the job! I still have mine (though I’ve yet to be paid other than treats) as the “anti-FedEX Guy Alarm system). (though I LOVE the Schwans man as he brings a bag of foodables every two weeks for when Mom is LAZY and doesn’t ‘t want to cook from scratch). We hope you find something to do soon. Don’t eat the couch – trust me on this, it doesn’t have good consequences.

  39. Whew, Xena. Little kids have sticky hands and would just hug and hug you to tightly as you are just so cute.
    Besides you are needed to keep the horse in the box.
    Bet you are surprised with a new activity soon – (but don’t let on you looked already trained to dust mop the floor – that quickly becomes a chore!)

  40. Well Xena having a job is important and maybe your next job will be your Agility skills. Once you and your mom learn all the stations you will start to compete as a team against other dogs. The faster you can jump over fences, weave through the poles, swoop through a tunnel, watching your mom for her signals to you, the more dogs you will beat and the prettier and bigger the ribbons get. You’ll be able to have a wall with all of your winning pictures and your ribbons too. Now that will be a perfect job for you and your Mom.

    Deary me, Xena, idle paws can get into tricks and things… I do hope gainful employment comes your way sometime soon – or you find a way to work your pooter for self-employment at home. Just think… a little home business… grows… Lucy as your PA… (pay her in bully horns)… need the mum for the pack and send, so she doesn’ t need to go be where the kids are and have to wear earmuffs… …. ….. hmmm what?   48. You can be like me Xena, my job is to make sure my brothers are always snoopervised. I always wake them up to make sure they are alright, and make sure they are in shape by letting them chase me…It’s a hard job being a sibling snooperviser, but totally worth it!

  49. Aww, it’s terrible to lose your job isn’t it! You’re still in your prime and you need a place you can nap with … er, we mean work with your mom. We hope you find a new job soon. We hate to think of you lying around bored. 🙂
