Xena: Today I turn the poetry over to Angel Lexi. She was always good at it when she was here on earth, and I know she hasn’t changed. Besides, I owe her for helping find my new home here with my Mommy and Daddy.

THE LEADER by Angel Lexi
When I was here I led a troupe of ballet dancers onto stage.
I also led the downtown Chattanooga Christmas parade.
I played with Scarecrows and Tin Men lots of times when I was in Oz.
So now I’m leading little Munchkins here; why should that be so odd?
The End
Xena: *appause, appause* Perfect, Angel Lexi. Thank you for leading the Munchkins as they pull that plane. But, why are they pulling that plane?
Angel Lexi: Xena, you need to understand that some things just can’t be explained. Things I’ve pondered long and hard, such as why can you only get ground beef in the grocery store.
Xena: Oh. Well, I’ll try to remember that. And today I’m so thankful that you helped me get to my furever home with my Mommy and Daddy and sisters. And that you’re still watching over me.
Chia: I’m thankful that after Dad feeds us breakfast, I can run back to the bedroom and cuddle up with Mom for a while. I couldn’t do that when she had to get up for work. And I’m thankful that when Mom and I get up, we all go for a walk together!
Lucy: I’m thankful that I have a home with cool air blowing in it. I’ve heard that some dogs have to stay outside in this terrible heat. I do like laying in the sun, but I have to come inside to get cooled off.
We’re all thankful for our wonderful blogging friends. Y’all make it worthwhile!
Thanks to Angel Brian, who is hosting Thankful Thursday, as well as Angel Sammy for the great picture every week.
