Hi again, friends. I have news of a new, 10 month old schnauzer in the groom room. Her name is Matilda, and she was a horrible mess when Groomer Mom got her. Here’s a couple of “before” pictures

A mess, right? Those legs and paws were solid mats, right down to her skin. So were lots of areas on her body. Here’s a picture of Mattie mid-groom.

Just this much took about an hour. G.M. had already wiped most of the hair into the trash can, but if you look closely, you can see that most of it is mats. This reporter needed a nap after that! Thankfully, there was only one flea.
87 minutes later, Mattie was finished and Groomer Mom was soaked from Mattie’s bath. Now to deliver her to her new home…

Upstairs, Groomer Mom took the picture while my Dad held freshly groomed Mattie. Have you guessed? Yes! We have a new sister. We’re all getting to know her better, and she’s still figuring out this new place called home. But we can already tell she’s happy here.
Xena: Excuse me, Ace Reporter. You need to say that she’s only been here one night and is already plotting how to take over.
Chia: Yes, and she’s sleeping in our bed with our folks (and us).
Lucy, Ace Reporter: Guess I’ll have another report when we figure this out! In the meantime, thanks to The Cat on My Head for hosting Sunday selfies!
