Today we join in Brian’s Home Thankful Thursday
Lucy doesn’t play with Mom, but Lucy and me, we wrestle and play chase outside in the yard almost every day.
Thankfully, our restrictions are few and our routine has changed very little. We do have Mom and Dad home more, which we both love. But we know it’s not like this for all of our doggie friends, so we looked through Mom’s email and found this info to help with boredom and – Dog forbid – being forced to go potty inside because you’re not allowed outside! Here’s Your COVID-19 Canine Survival Guide.
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
If you’re a dog parent, you may be in need of a “canine survival guide” while you’re hunkered down at home during the current COVID-19 crisis
Be sure to have at least a month’s worth of pet supplies on hand, including all the things your dog typically needs on a daily and weekly basis
It also may be necessary to train your dog to go potty indoors while you’re quarantined or under a stay-at-home directive
Enriching your dog’s environment during this time is the best way to keep her mentally stimulated, manage her stress level, and avoid problem behaviors
Click here to read the details. There’s lots of fun stuff and helpful information!

Now I’m waiting for Mom to stop working so that we can try out some of these fun new games she has promised to play with me (especially the ones involving treats). I think I’ll go downstairs and remind her.

We do all love you both, and Lucy says thank you.

We are outside and its unlimited if we stay in our yard…and we may go for walks around the village on leashes of course…and then *she* has to wear her mask…so we mostly romp and chase in the yard and she walks alone…masked apparently…Hmmm…she does?? She keeps one in her pocket in case she would meet someone. Sometimes living in a semi rural area has its perks…

We are lucky like you are. We can go outside easily without seeing anyone so our lives are pretty good. I know that many of our friends cannot easily go outside so your guide will be helpful to them. Take care, my friends.

Much of your ideas for sheltering apply to us cats too. Thanks for the tips Xena. I’m showing mom now.

We’re both too busy telling our Mom or Dad what we want next, so we don’t sleep very much during the day, BOL.

We’re glad we have a huge yard to play in when the weather is nice. Luckily we’ve been getting in lots of outdoor playing and stick chewing.

Great post Xe!! We are lucky to live in a remote area, and nothing much has changed here either…but we have family in New Jersey and NYC where things got pretty scary!

Thanks for sharing these wonderful tips for your dog when you’re quarantined. We stocked up on food and treats right before the stay at home order was put in. Have a fantastic day and we hope you are staying safe during this time.

Great advice, Xena. You and your sister are pawsome ‘snoopervisors’ of your parents.

the two of you are truly blessed to have a mom like yours home with you, we know you will not go hungry or run out of fun things to do… Big sleeps about 20 out of 24 hours, whether we are home or not home..

I’m glad you’re having a great time and it’s good the mom knows how to keep you safe and well fed during this time. We always take care of our babies first.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥

Good advice, I think the games are as good for the peeps as the pups!

Games with treats are my favorite kind of games. Games without treats are….. pointless.

it’s not easy to stay inside, but we try to do out best… and we often think about friends who have no garden, the current situation is a challenge…
