Continued from Sunday’s post, Ludwig’s Injuries.
Xena: I can’t believe Ludwig passed over. Thank you, Shania, for telling me his final words, that he still loves me. *wipes eyes* Ludwig was a wonderful stuffie, and I loved him too. Who would ever hurt that sweet German boy from Cleveland, OH!?
Shania: He was about to tell me who did this to him when I fainted. Then, when I woke up, he had just passed over the Stuffie Rainbow Bridge.
In the meantime…

Brownie Bear: Why is Ludwig in a shroud?
Shania the Schnauzer: His wounds were too grievous to look at.
Chip the Chipmunk: Ludwig was always good to me. He never chased me like schnauzers are prone to do.
Larry the Lemur: As the unanimously voted leader of this pack, I wish to say a few words. Ludwig was always his own dog. He travelled extensively, was always kind to all of us, and loved Xena without hesitation. He will be greatly missed.
JenJen Bear: I never said anything, but I will confess now, and hope that Ludwig can hear me on the other side of the Bridge: I loved you, Ludwig, and would have been your wife. But you never had eyes for anyone but Xena. That was OK, I just wanted you to be happy.
Prayer Bear: Unless someone else has something to say, let’s bow our heads in prayer.

To be continued….

It’s better to celebrate his life than be sad about Ludwig’s demise. RIP buddy.

Charlee: “Wow, we had no idea stuffies engaged in such rituals, not to mention mourning! We kind of feel even worse about all the stuffies Dennis destroyed now …”

I really think my nieces and I could revive him. If you want to mail him to me for surgery, email pilch92@aol.com for the address.

It was with paws crossed that we all assembled in the lobby of the emergency room at XSWP Community Pawspital, hoping against hope, but yet with great hope, that Ludwig would make it through the experimental surgery … alas, the team of physicians, assembled from ’round the world, each highly experienced in various disciplines, all did their very best to stuff in all back in. Every last little bit of fur and fluff and cotton and dust and whatever (?) had fallen out had been gathered up, properly prepared and was delicately restored into that beautiful little tumtum. But fate and the gods of the animal kingdom had other plans in mind for Sir Lud, they wanted him, needed him, had determined he had done his work well and good and long and it was now time for him to enjoy the fruits of his labor, time for him to play again … and so he said farewell. They stitched him up, but with threads of love, they gently combed and refreshed his soft furs and put a tiny bit of sparkle back into his eyes, and a little soft smile on his lips … they said, sorry, we knew you loved him, we did our best, but now he is heading home, to a new home, his forever home. We send him home with LOVE, Forever.

Poor little stuffie!! Obviously an example of how loving one too much can be dangerous to its health. RIP!!! 🤣

Poor Ludwig……stuffies have a short life in an active home though (sometimes). We love them to bits and pieces don’t we……!! Looks like a lovely ceremony though.
