Xena: Well, I’ve got old bad news and also semi-good (or maybe it’s semi-bad) news. First the old bad news. Because I’ve been an itchy mess – chewing myself raw – Mommy put the Cone of Shame Honor on my neck. As often as I could I rammed it into her while following her down the hallway. I also asked her to promise not to show any pictures of me in it!
But, before I could extract the same promise about my new Soft Dog Cone (sometimes I hate Amazon), she snapped one and here we are. She could have at least brushed my beard first!
It still has the care instruction tag on it because Mommy wanted to see if I could get out of it. I should have tried harder, cause the tag’s off now. Guess that means we’re keeping it.
Daddy said Mommy could cut out some green leaves from material and sew them around it. I didn’t share a thankful yesterday, so here’s my thankful: Mommy said, “No.”

Aww, sweet girl…look at the bright side, it’s a soft sided cone…maybe you can pick up the Hallmark Mystery Channel. Once your skin heals up, you’ll feel so much better. P.S. Stay out of the dried leaves. 😉

Poor baby!!! This is a really bad allergy time in the South. Down here September-November it’s ragweed season. December-April pigweed and dog fennel. Weeds grow and pollenate on steroids down here. lol!!!

She was tested years ago, and it’s oak and pine trees and other trees I don’t remember. I raked the dog lot yesterday and it was full of leaves again today. She also has a lot of seasonal allergies. Nothing I’ve given her orally works for long. She’s usually out of the itchies by this time of the year…

Itching isn’t fun at all and perhaps you can heal up with that flower around your neck. I think it’s cute. Not as cute as you are, but cute nonetheless.

Dear Miss Itchy……I know it’s got to be embarrassing looking like a bedraggled sunflower but I promise you that you truly look adorable-ish with it. You have to wear it so wear it with pizaaz girl! I hope you will stop itching soon but you really do look cute I must admit!!!!!!!!!!

i might order one for my hubby bob, he will not stop scratching his neck and shoulders. butt he would not look as adorable as you do… it has to be more cumfortable than the cone plus you look cute. itching is a horror, I have 2 itchy spots one on each arm and boy do they itch. so sorry you are itchy

Xena, I don’t think the tag police have any jurisdiction with that “clothing,” so it’s ok the tag is removed. I know you aren’t happy about the situation, but when I first looked at the picture – considering the time of year – I thought you were the most adorable four-legged pumpkin. In any case, you’re an adorable albeit itchy princess.😊
