Xena: Hey friends *wags*. I would never ever ride a roller coaster now, but maybe, just maybe when I was a puppy I would have tried it… like me in this picture! Anyhow, thanks to Angel Brian, who is hosting Thankful Thursday, as well as Angel Sammy for the great picture every week!

Is This What They Call Fun? by Xena
My grandma and grandpa said, “Let’s go have fun!”
I jumped up and down and started to run.
I was just a pup then and I didn’t know
My grandma and grandpa were not “status quo!”
The fair looked like fun; there were clowns and sweet treats.
We flew towards the sky, then plunged toward the streets.
“I want my Mommy,” was all I could think,
For the coaster had stopped as we hung on the brink.
These dayse I stay with my Mom and my Dad.
They threaten a coaster whenever I’m bad.
The End
Chia: You don’t think our Mom and Dad would ever put me, umm, I mean us on one of those roller coasters, do you?
Xena: Nope. Mommy used to love them, but she’s given them up. And Daddy doesn’t like that kind of stuff.
Chia: Today my thankful is that Mom and Dad would [try to] never let me do anything that would hurt me. Now, if I can just remember that when I try to slip out the door or off the leash!
Lucy: Little sister, you know how good you have it here with us. There’s nothing better out there. I’m thankful that the times you have gotten out and ran the neighborhood, you didn’t get hurt. And you didn’t get lost, either.
Xena: And I’m thankful that you are like you are, Chichi, cause it makes me look soooo good! I guess that’s it for today.
Love and wags, Xena, Lucy and Chia
Oh, I just wanna explore! I come back, if no one finds me first. Chia

Coasters are fun, for people. As for running away, where could you go where you’d have it better than at home?

For sure. She’s really good at hanging on for dear life! She thinks I’m gonna drop her (I never have) every time I pick her up.

We’re with you, Xena…no loop-de-loop for this chica. No siree! I don’t need to be frightened to have fun.

That’s a great poem! I wouldn’t like riding any of those coasters either.

Oh gosh I forgot about the ferris wheel – I hated that helpless feeling being up at the top when they stopped it once in a while. Great view but the stomach flip-flops weren’t worth it! LOL

I used to love riding the coasters. But the Ferris Wheel scared me. I think it was that moment when you just get past the very top and it looks like you are suspending in the air. Now I don’t do any of them, LOL!

My Mommy says she doesn’t think us pups would be allowed on the ride, anyway, so I’m sure not gonna worry about it! XOX Xena

OH MY GOODNESS! That was a totally fabulous poem and know what else? We agree that riding on that ride would be a BIG SCARY mistake. Even in the picture I’m thinking the lady is screaming “LET ME OFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!” and the guy is thinking “BEEEE QUIET I’M HAVING FUN!!!!!” Tee Hee. I myself would never set food on anything off the ground unless it was being on my Mommy’s shoulder as she calmly walks around the yard. Happy “stay on the ground” Thursday.
Love, Teddy (and Mom)

The pawrents are NOT fans of those scary rides, any kind of them! We all like to keep our four (Or two), on the floor, or the level ground…
Now the unfurbros, well they love that kind of thing, but we don’t think they would take us pups on a ride like that…
