Chia’s Poetry and Thankful Thursday

Chia: A BIG thanks to Angel Brian, who is hosting Thankful Thursday, as well as Angel Sammy for the great picture every week of MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!

Here’s the picture and my poem:

A Perfect Day with My Friends, by Chia, still the birthday month girl

I made two new friends and they really like me!
They sniffed me and asked me if I wanted to see
The track where they ran, and I jumped up in glee!
A place I could run without copping a plea!!

They ran and I passed them, but soon they both stopped.
I just kept going til my heart almost popped.
Let’s go take a swim, there’s a pool that’s divine.
My friends were more fun than swiss cheese and red wine!

Later we went out for milk and raw meats.
The cafe was crowded, but we found three seats.
I’ll always remember the best day I ever had.
I’d do it all again tomorrow… and that would make me glad! 🐾

The End

Chia: Wow, I sure wish I had a big track to run on and lots of things to stop and sniff along the way. Even so, I’m still very thankful for my family and all my good friends, like Miss Jentry and Miss Christy and Miss Susan and Aunt Clare and all my great blog friends, too!

Lucy: I’m thankful that Mom had me tested for allergies and took away all the food that was making me feel bad. I have really yummy new food now from Dogs Eat Raw. It’s duck with a few other ingredients that I can eat, too. Mom noticed the difference in me when I went to work with her yesterday. I was much happier and interacted more with all the Al-Anon folks again.

Xena: I’m thankful that the neighbor boys mowed the dog lot this morning while we were at work. And I’m thankful that Mommy ordered some food grade Diatomaceous earth to sprinkle all over it. I can’t wait until it’s in the dog lot, cutting all the little fleas to pieces. They like me best, and I itch and itch and itch when I get bit! Also, because it’s the food grade one, we can still chew on the grass when it starts growing again. Lucy especially likes to do that instead of eating stones.

Wishing a happy an Thankful Thursday to all our friends and friends-to-be. Chi, Lucy and Xena

  1. And I wrote it all myself except the last line. Mommy asked Chip* to help with that line..
*Chip is our ChatGPT. Mom told it she wanted to give it a name, and it made several suggestions. It wrote that it’s favorite was Chip. Mom agreed. (Is my Mom losing it?)

  5. Yes and Mommy ordered from Amazon the kind we can still eat the grass and the D Earth won’t hurt us. I went all over Chattanooga with her looking for it, and all the stores only have the kind that’s bad for us to eat. XOX Xena.

  6. Dear Adorable Birthday Girl! Love love love the poem……wouldn’t it be fun to float around a pool (on your own floatie of course) even if you didn’t have the pool to yourself??! We also think your thankfuls are perfect and aren’t you all lucky to have so many things to be thankful for. Well, know what? WE (Mom and me) are thankful for YOU YOU YOU too!
