Chia: A BIG thanks to Angel Brian, who is hosting Thankful Thursday, as well as Angel Sammy for the great picture every week of MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!
This one was fun to write, since I love, love, love to run, run, run!

OUR PINK RACE by Chia
My Dad participated
In a race to help sick kids.
He wore pink, as rules stated.
The pink bike was overrated.
My peeps sister got the crud,
So I was her look-alike.
As a team we plowed through mud
And screamed in sheer delight.
As we went we yelled and barked,
We knew we had the lead!
Then looked ’round, no trail was marked.
“We’re lost!” my Dad decreed.
In defeat, we found our way
Back to our starting point.
We didn’t win—but Dad and I
Were the best dressed at the joint!
Xena: You know, Chia, you’ve gotten really good at this. But maybe I should write next week’s…
Chia: Fat chance, sis. It’s MY birthday month.
Xena: You can’t blame a schnauzer for trying. *sigh* So, Tuesday evening it felt like something had stung the paw pad on my front left paw. I held it up and licked and chewed it and limped all evening. Mommy gave me a benedryl, so I slept good all night, and the next morning my paw was ok again. I’m so, so thankful it’s ok and I didn’t have to go to the vet!
Oh, and I WAS thankful for Fritzie. We’ve been playing a lot and he asked me again to be his girl. But when I said no, he started playing with Chia. Now I’m mad at him.
Chia: I’m tired of playing with Fritzie, Xena. You can have him back. Oh yeah, thankfuls. Hmmm…I pulled one of my baskets full of toys off the fireplace seat and have been playing with them. Me and Mom play tug o’ war and keep away. I’m thankful my Mom likes to play with me!
Lucy: I’ve been feeling much more like myself since Mom found out what my allergies are and changed my diet.I greeted everyone at work – especially the Al Anon ladies – with enthusiasm and lots off wags and smiles. I’m so thankful I feel so good again!
Chia: I guess that’s it for today. We’re Lucy, me and Xena wishing you a run-around-the-block and eat all your favorite foods kind of day! XOXOXOX
An epic poem, and you look fantastic in that picture.
