Nature Friday in San Diego

I, Mom Amy, have taken over Xena’s blog today. My husband, my son Adam, and I are enjoying a week in San Diego. The weather is perfect, there are a ton of things to do, and all the people are friendly. I could live here!

I took some pictures of trees and a plant I did not recognize. There were a lot more I didn’t recognize, but I thought this would be enough for Nature Friday. But first, I want to thank Rosy and Sunny of The LLB Life for hosting Nature Friday!

Tree #1: Peppermint Willow, aka Australian Willow, aka Willow Myrtle

Tree #2: Gold Medallion Tree

#3: Agave Americana

#4: Weeping Fig

#5: Narrow-leaf Chalk Sticks Succulant

I didn’t give big descriptions of any of these to keep this post a bit shorter. Of course, you can always “Google” then if you want more info. I will probably have more to share next Friday. There are so many plants and trees here I have never seen before I came to San Diego! Have a great weekend!

  1. Glad you are having a great time. I too have not ever seen any of those trees/plants! There is always a wonderful newness in (new) places to be visited.

  2. San Diego is a coolest place to vacay at. And look at all those beautiful trees and plants. I lived there for a short time waaaay back in the day and enjoyed it so much. You’re there at a perfect time weather wise (you wouldn’t want to be there when the Santa Anita winds arrive, it’s super windy and hot!). Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos. Enjoy your time there.
