Nature Friday in San Diego

I, Mom Amy, have taken over Xena’s blog today. My husband, my son Adam, and I are enjoying a week in San Diego. The weather is perfect, there are a ton of things to do, and all the people are friendly. I could live here!

I took some pictures of trees and a plant I did not recognize. There were a lot more I didn’t recognize, but I thought this would be enough for Nature Friday. But first, I want to thank Rosy and Sunny of The LLB Life for hosting Nature Friday!

#5: Narrow-leaf Chalk Sticks Succulant

I didn’t give big descriptions of any of these to keep this post a bit shorter. Of course, you can always “Google” then if you want more info. I will probably have more to share next Friday. There are so many plants and trees here I have never seen before I came to San Diego! Have a great weekend!

  2. San Diego sounds like a wonderful place to explore, especially with such beautiful weather and diverse plant life. I always enjoy seeing how different regions have their own unique trees and greenery. The Peppermint Willow is a beautiful find — nature has a way of surprising us with so many varieties we don’t see every day. Thanks for sharing these Nature Friday discoveries, and hope you and your family have an amazing time enjoying the trip!

  7. I’ve been to both cities now, and while I loved San Franciso, I would definitely recommend San Diego! Nope, they didn’t go with us. Their favorite sitter, Christy, stayed here with them. And sweet Lucy slept snuggled up to her every night. (Chia was on the other side of her and Xena at the bottom of the bed hoping I would come home.)

  8. I LOVE TREES. these are new to me also and gorgeous. Glad everyone went with you, and I laughed out loud at Chia standing UNDER Lucy… glad you posted the 3 most important family members at the end and that they went with you. I would love to see San Diego and also San Francisco.

  23. San Diego is a coolest place to vacay at. And look at all those beautiful trees and plants. I lived there for a short time waaaay back in the day and enjoyed it so much. You’re there at a perfect time weather wise (you wouldn’t want to be there when the Santa Anita winds arrive, it’s super windy and hot!). Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos. Enjoy your time there.
