“I’m going as myself,” he said, “It really should suffice.
Just walk along beside me; I promise I’ll be nice”

“OK, I’ll walk in with you, but that’s the end of ‘us.’
And if you call me ‘girlfriend’ I’ll ride home on the bus!”
