I know, it should be Campaign Tuesday. And with the PAWlympics in full furs, I decided to take a week off from the campaign and share something even more fun. This picture popped up on Mom’s phone. Please notice the chomp taken out of the treasured quilt that my great-grandma made by hand, as well as the cushion cover that Mom made. Mementos of the five years that my brother Riley lived with us.

Barkley chewed up a little needplepoint thing my Mom did of an airplane and I cried and cried, then I realized, my Mom would probably be laughing at the look on the dog’s face when I caught him. I gave the dog a hug and dried my eyes and just made sure I didn’t leave anything “tasty” in a box on the floor in the open closet.

Oh, no, Chris, you misunderstood. RILEY chewed up everything when he was here. I got over chewing when I was about a year old. Chewing the 4th pair of Mom’s flip flops in one summer “cured” me.
