This Memorial Day, We Remember

Lucy: Mom never met her Uncle Paul. He lost his life in England for our country shortly before the end of WWII.
Mom asked us to be quiet for a moment to honor all who have served our country and who have given their lives for this great nation. That was asking a lot of 4 dogs, especially a schnauzer, but we agreed it was a small price to pay. Mom also explained that this was one of the reasons I have the freedom to be a church dog. *silence*

  1. Java Bean: “Our Dada has our flag out at half-staff for all the fallen soldiers including your Uncle Paul. He’ll be going out to raise it to full staff at noon.”
Lulu: “A moment of silence is hard to find here, too.”
Charlee: “Especially now that Oona is around.”
    Oona: “Oona likes to talk.”
    Chaplin: “Yes, Oona, we know.”
Oona: “OONA IS MAKING SURE YOU DO NOT FORGET!!!”

  3. It’s hard to be silent when you’re used to talking isn’t it…..but in tribute to all those who made it possible for us to stay a land of free people (and pets!) we should have a moment of grateful silence.

  4. we will remember all the heroes with you today… we often imagine what would be if they all would be still alive… would we have a treatment against all sicknesses? maybe one had invented a train to other galaxies, or flying cars … maybe our world would be totally different with all the people in it who lost their life in battles for freedom?
