Xena: Well, no luck with FB or ND.
Chia: FB? ND?
Xena: Facebook and Next Door. Get with the social media vibe, CheeBee.
Well, Mom tried to give the puppy to a neighbor who had a husky who died recently, but he’s not ready for another dog. Can’t get anyone to answer the phone at the city shelter or the Humane Society. Tomorrow Mommy’s gonna talk to someone at church who volunteers at one of those places.
In the meantime, all three of us were a bit dismayed to find the puppy still here when we got out of bed this morning. We’ve all been growling at her and saying “No!” to playing. Even Lucy! Puppy did have some time outside with Chia, though. (Now she’s actually answering to “the puppy.”)

Mommy put one of Chia’s many name tags with her and Daddy’s phone numbers on the halter in case she gets away.
The folks realized that huskies need a lot, and I mean a lot, of exercise. That means running for a half hour or more every day, preferably an hour. And never off-leash. Daddy said when he stopped thinking with his heart and started thinking with his head, he knew neither he nor Mommy have the energy at this stage in their lives to give Puppy what she needs (other than love). Also, Puppy has to be watched every moment she is loose in the house or she pees everywhere, even soon after she comes in from outside. Oops, there she goes again. Clean up on aisle 1!

Anyone want a husky?
Xena Schnauzer Warrior Princess
Thanks, friends. Me and Chia have been playing a little with her – more Chia than me – and she’s not so bad. But we think Mommy might have found her a home. She’s interviewing a family tomorrow. I’ll let you know what happens. XOX Xena

Java Bean: “There’s no such thing as too much energy for me!”
Chaplin: “You’ve obviously never met a vizsla if that’s what you think.”
Charlee: “We’re sending lots of purrs for a good placement for the puppy!”
Lulu: “And we dogs are sending lots of tail wags!”

Old…that’s why we can’t keep this puppy. She’ll need enough exercise to kill us!

Oh yes I do understand 100% Amy. Puppies are work and when you have a working dog like Puppy with high energy he really needs lots and lots of exercise and attention.
He is lucky he wandered up to your Church where the perfect rescue lady was there. I hope and purr you will find his owner or a Huskie rescue who is willing to take him .
Hugs Cecilia

Puppies are a lot of work. Can’t believe this lovely pup was abandoned. She’ll make some fur-ever family a lovely addition. Good luck finding her a good home. Your tender heart is commendable. I thought adopting a 5 year old dog would be easy…boy was I clueless! Then again, I’m just probably old. 😊

Probably should…finding it hard to do. And she drinks so much water that her pee is almost like water itself. But now she’s wearing Xena and Lucy’s Big Girl Panties from when they would be in heat, and that’s helping during this time we’re trying to get her housebroken.

Starshine is a pretty name. We wish we knew the name she used to go by. She is answering to The Puppy now, so Mommy thinks Poppy would be nice. But even though they are determined to rehome Starsh..er Puppy, I overheard them talking about alternatives. The rest of us voted, a we want her to go away. XOX Xena

Poor puppy Rosie (we named her after the rose bush she was caught in) I hope she learns about peeing outside soon and finds the perfect home where she can bloom.

Oh my, oh no: if only, have so wanted a pupper, my bldg only allows “under 30 lbs” or I’d have her in the proverbial NY-minute. Who on earth could have abandoned or lost her … thank you for caring for her, searching for owners or a new home. Wishing you well with this!
PS still have off/on issues with WP comments, sometimes it’ll work, sometimes NOT … drats cats!

Oh no!! That’s a Husky for you. So sorry about all the peeing accidents!! You have my sympathy with that. No peeing everywhere in my house. But two of my cats have been throwing up their meals a few times a week for the last month. I’ve been changing food to see if it’s a food allergy. So far no accidents yesterday. Fingers crossed. lol!! And prayers you find a good home for Husky puppy!!

We that pup is a cutie but they do require a lot of work. Best of luck finding the right place!

We’re sure you will find the perfect place for Puppy. You do already have a houseful so adding a super high energy puppy would be a lot of work. Our dad’s first pup when he was still living with his parents was a husky, but he wouldn’t want one now either.

I bet there is a Husky rescue that could foster him.
