Riley’s Still with Us

Riley had a quiet night (maybe because I dosed him with CBD oil and Valerian EO). This morning he was walking fine and not coughing nearly as much. The cough has been caused by his enlarged heart pressing on his esophagus. So Andrew changed his mind and we are going to watch him over the weekend. I still don’t expect it to be long. I just wanted to let all my wonderful, supportive blogging friends know what was going on and that Riley. Is. Still. With. Us.
Here’s another picture of Riley, this time from one or two years ago, with his beloved Racky-D. He could relate to Racky-D, both of them having problems with their right eyes.

And just a side note, although I often cast Chia as this crazy, over the top dog (which she can be) she is also very sweet and loving and empathetic to pain and suffering. She tried to comfort me all last evening, and this morning she kept insisting to get into the bedroom with Andrew. She usually only does that to get Lucy out, but Lucy slept with me and Jeff and the “two littles” last night. She empathetically felt Andrew needed her.

Again, thank you for the outpouring of love and understanding and support. I truly don’t know what I would do without you.

  11. I am praying now for God to allow Andrews heart to give up on sweet Riley and to give him strength to do what is needed. Hugs to all of you and a big pile of love to Riley.. I will also ask God to do what it is hard for Andrew to do, but I did that 5 times with 5 dogs and it never happened. we love all of you and don’t know what we would do without you. Beau and Chias are both empaths..

    And we KNOW Chia is a good girl…she is just high energy! We can see all of you together & we are happy that Riley is with you. Maybe she will become Andrew’s ‘support doggo’….stranger things have happened right Amy?
