*shiver* I’m just thinking about how cold that snow is that I have to walk in to go potty! It started right on time at eight o’clock this morning. After about an hour Mom took me and Xena out to do our busyness in the front yard.

You can see there wasn’t much snow, but neither of us would go walking in it to do what we needed to do! A little while later Mom suited up Chia and out we went again.

None of us still would go far enough in it to do our busyness. Chia wouldn’t even come off the top step, not even to run down and say hi to the neighbor folks walking their Jack Russel mix. This is Chia’s first snow!
A few hours later there were three or four inches of snow on the ground.

I finally made the snow yellow. I know this isn’t a big deal to most of our friends. But we haven’t had any snow since Chia came to live with us three years ago. Our driveway, as you can see, is downhill, and the exit from our subdivision is downhill too, where you have to turn right or the other direction on a busy two lane highway. So pretty much no one goes anywhere when it’s like this, and most businesses close. Even Mom and Dad’s monthly dance cancelled for tonight — not that they were venturing out in this anyhow!

Chia found bare ground under the living room’s overhang and she did what she had to there.
I finally said enough is enough. I want to go in the house and curl up somewhere warm and without this cold, wet, white stuff.

I fell on my face coming up those snowy stairs. That’s why I have snow on my nose! Don’t worry, though, I’m OK.
Hoping all y’all are safe and happy. And thanks to Rosy and Sunny of The LLB Life for hosting this snowy Nature Friday!
Love, Lucy, the birthday month girl!
It almost NEVER snows here, Miss Monika. We’ll take the warm days and maybe ask Mom for litter boxes for the other day, BOL! *wags* Lucy

That’s how I feel, too, Bean. Except the Baja part. XOXOX Chia

You guys…just too sweet. You’d never make it in the Rocky Mountains where it’s snow one day, and brilliant sunshine and warm temps the next. It’s real yo-yo weather. Stay warm and safe, sweeties.

Lulu: “I wish we would get a little snow here! I would have so much fun playing in it with Bean!”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, are you nuts? I’m not going out in that. I am a short-furred dog from Baja!”

Mom thought about putting socks or something on our feet, but I think we’d all like that even less! We would like to see you doing your popcorn hop, Cupcake! XOX Xena and my pack

I try never to step in snow. Thank goodness the snow blower and snowplow guys clean it all away for me. If I accidentally get cold paws, I pop up and down like a popcorn. Then Mom rubs my paws with her glove.
Love and licks,

Wow, 7 inches! It’s still below freezing here, but the sun is out and the snow is starting to melt. We have solar panels and backup batteries, so that helps. Plus, we’re still connected to the grid, and the electricity is still up and working, so we’re good. Hope you’ve got power and you’re son’s area has it up and running again!

I would not want to go out in it either, I just talked to my son in TN and they have 7 inches which is a lot more than their usual. they lost power for 2 hours and it was 29 degrees, got it back lost it again. hope you are all safe and warm and have power

We don’t recommend it, Teddy. I found a spot under the front window that doesn’t have snow. Mom’s gonna have some stuff to clean up from there, BOL! XOXOXO Chia

did you shake each foot as you tested the snow? Mr T (our cat) always walked through snow sharing his paws.

Gosh you all are brave to let your feet get snowy and cold……I haven’t been outside for a walk in almost a week now because our snow has STAYED – I miss my cruises around the yard to check things out! We had another inch or two of snow last night. Maybe I should just be BRAVE and GO FOR IT!
Hugs, Teddy

You girls would never make it living up here. We don’t mind going out in the snow and sometimes even get a case of the zoomies and run around the yard just for fun. It does get too cold for us sometimes too. When the temps dip into the teens we need booties on our paws to be able to spend enough time outside to do our business.

We feel ya, Lucy! We are used to snow, but that doesn’t mean that we like it. Petcretary always shovels out a large patch on our grsass so that its easier to do our daily rituals…
We are getting as lot of snow right now…UGH!
