Christmas Eve and Day Miracle, Hopes and Presents

Xena: Merry Christmas to all my friends. I hope everyone is happy and your tummies full.

Christmas Eve Miracle:

I want to tell you the back story, and I’ll try to keep it kinda short. You probably already know we love our neighbor kids and they love us, especially Miss Clare and her little sister Lucy (yes, like our Lucy), so we all call her Lucia – which is her real name so there’s no mix up. I, Xena, am the reason 15-year-old Miss Clare fell in love with schnauzers. Then, this fall, the family’s friend’s schnauzer had five baby puppies. Clare had been trying to get her follk to let her have one since before they were born. They were a dogless family – sad, I know. My Mommy tried helping by tellling them how great us schnauzers are and stuff like that. They finally told her no, and she gave up. Then some circumstances changed. Guess what she got on Christmas Eve…

This is 12-week-old Fritz in Miss Clare’s arms.

He had a fun day of playing with the kids and chewing on stuff and peeing in the house. My Mommy is now his official Aunt Amy … and she got to hold him too. By the way, Miss Clare’s Mommy let my Mommy know she was making the hour drive to get a puppy for Miss Clare while Mommy was grooming me yesterday. My Mommy was so happy she started crying. Weird, I know. Then Miss Clare started crying when her Mommy walked in with the as yet unnamed puppy! Miss Clare named him Fritz. I’m sure we’ll all be seeing much more of Fritz!

Christmas Eve Bedtime:

Xena: Mommy, is Santa Paws coming tonight?
Mommy: Yes, sweet baby. Go to sleep now so he will come.

Christmas Day:

Two of us waited patiently….finally…

I got Wiggles and Wags Fruit Slices: Apple & Pumpkin. And besides the taste, the best part is the ingredients: Apple, Pumpkin. That’s all! And I’m not allergic to either of those!!

Lucy: I got a bag of them, too! And I also got Wiggles & Wags Meaty Patties with beef and chicken and a coupla other OK things.

Chia: I got a bag of Wiggles & Wags Chewy Bones made with chicken and cheese (yummy). They’re soft and chewy.

Xena: Mommy opened our bags and we got to stick our heads in them and “stuff our faces” until she picked up the bags, saying, “Let’s save some for later. You just had breakfast.”

That was three hours ago. We’ve gotta go now to see if we can have some more yet. Lots of love and wishes for a good Christmas.

  3. You’re very welcome!! I spent an hour and 15 minutes in continuous prayer for him yesterday morning (3 rosaries). There is definitely an oppressive stronghold over him, but by the time I finished I felt I had broken through. I think things will slowly improve now. Keep praying. And I will too!!

  10. Bless your heart!! Family trouble is tough. Been there many times with mine. I’d be happy to add your son to my prayer list and pray a rosary for him. What is his first name? Does he need physical healing, emotional healing, guidance, salvation, etc.? Let me know so I can pray for that intention. I’d be happy to do it!! Have a blessed night, dear friend!! 🩷🙏✝️

  12. Thank you!! I’m excited about this new year. Usually I’m not. Usually I’m exhausted. lol!! But for some reason I feel like this is going to be a year full of exciting possibilities, so I’m looking forward to it. How about you? Do you get the feeling there is something wonderful about 2026?

  14. What a WONDERFUL Christmas miracle for Miss Claire!! Oh my goodness!! I’ll be smiling for days thinking about this. Nothing better than a new doggie, especially for a dogless family.   15. Awwww! Fritz!! Whata cutie!! It was great seeing you all sitting with your Christmas bags…waiting…then Chia got impatient…just like Dalton would do!! BOL!

    Hope the whole day of Christmas was wonderful!

    Our neighbor kids gota puppy for Christmas too…a wee tiny lab, named Dot. She was the runt of a 10 puppy big litter. Her new Mom and Dad have lots of experience with doggies, so we know that she will not end up in a shelter due to growing up…or too many duties of looking after a baby pup. (seven weeks old). And the children are 9 and 7…Dad is often gone for long periods of time, as he is in the army reserve…a dog will help them with that.

  16. I will be teaching Clare how to groom him (she wants to). I told her she can come over and use my grooming room and equipment. She’s already been helping me with bathing, drying and holding Fritz’s brothers and sisters.

  21. Thank you, and the same to you. Little Fritz is having the time of his short life with the children doting on him and cooking his meals and traveling every day to different places! He’s a happy, saucy puppy.

  32. Christmas puppies…nothing better! So if you were to place say, a broken electronic device, on the puppies head, you could say it was on the Fritz, right? Snorf. Oddly enough, wiggles and wags is exactly what I’m having for dinner tonight. With a nice Pinot. Merry Christmas to all!

  34. How sweet Miss Clare got her Christmas wish! Little Fritz is adorable. Looks like you all got some yummy snackables from Santa Paws – hope you get to have AT LEAST a couple more goodies from those bags before night time comes!! I think Santa Paws must like you to get such yummy snacks for you.

    I got some snacks and a chicken with REAL feathers (well…..they look real anyway) and I’ve already discovered how to pluck him (or her).
