Xena Turns Nine

Thanks to  Comedy Plus for hosting Awww Mondays!

Me and Mommy are finally home from work and had our supper. So now we can show you some pictures and videos from yesterday of my ninth birthday. No more flashbacks, these are here and now!

I got to eat some of Lucy’s new Duck meat (from “We Feed Raw”) for breakfast, and it was good! Then, after Mommy got back from church, we all went to the Greenway. At first I thought we would walk the trails, but Mommhy surprised us. We all went into the small dog area of the dog park. There’s a LOT of room there to run and bark and race the bigger dogs on the other side of the fence. It was fun watching Chia race them…she even won a lot of the time! Here are some pictures and videos of our time there.

My feet and legs got covered in damp dirt, so when I got home…

Later I also got groomed. *sigh*

Mommy baked me cookie bars with applesauce in them, and we all got some of those throughout the day. Thomas the Mailman even gave me one at work today. (Mommy thinks I don’t know that she slyly hands them to him.) He looked shocked when Mommy told him I turned nine yesterday. He said I didn’t look a day over seven!

After we recovered from the heat of the park, we all got treat puzzles to work.

Oh, and sometime during the day Mommy unpacked what she got at the new doggie store in town. It’s called Hollywood Feed. Look at this!

Can you believe this?! And Lucy and I can eat all of these things. None of them are on the “banned” list cause of our allergies!! And they’re all yummy, yummy delicious, too!!

Thanks, friends, for well, for being my friends and staying in touch with me.

  1. Wow, Mr. Bob could hear me eating all the way to your house? It must have been a neighbor dog, cause my food doesn’t crunch, BOL! XOX Xena
I want to run with the big dogs too, but there’s always a fence between us, so we each run on our side of the fence. I almost always win!! XOXOX Chia

  2. Happy Belated 9th birthday, Xena. What a wonderful day. While you were crunching your food, Bob said what is that noise? We have a small dog park and no one uses it because the little dogs want to run with the big dogs. once we put our 3 dogs in the little park, because it was empty and Baby sailed all 60 pounds of her self over the fence into the big park and was running with the big dogs. We had a hard time getting her out of the park, because no one could put run her. dogs or humans and her stubborn streak was the since of the ridgeback hound fur down her back

  3. Ugh…that’s too bad. Sorry you have to deal with someone who is such shady business person. I can’t speak for Tennessee, but in Colorado you can report guys like this to the District Attorney, or the Attorney General’s office as well as the Better Business Bureau. Shady guys don’t like a light cast on their less than upright dealings. Hope someone can help you get some help or at least impact his ability to continue poor service.

  5. Our experience was not good. We have found out that the guy who sold us all of this sold us undersized solar panels. He never did get the connections right, and we had to hire someone else to do it. And he controls everything from his home, and won’t take or return our calls/texts/emails. All I’m saying, is be careful.

  6. Dear Xena, please furgive me [June] for sending a Happy Birthday wish for Nine + Two Days. It is all mine Mommy’s fault, cause she furgets so very much, lots, even when I try to remember her stuff. It does sound like you had a Really Good and Special One, ‘cept maybe the bath part. May I suggest you stay about nine, the ones after are what they call double-digits, don’t sound as good, maybe “they” are wrong. Anywayz, if you like chin scritches like I do, hope you got lots of those too. So here’s to another, though late, best barkday/meowday wish from me…

  7. With the increasing extreme weather patterns, I suspect outages will become more prevalent. I’m seriously considering adding batteries to my solar panels. It’s such a pain to reset the AC, wifi and security systems multiple times over a short period of time.

  8. Hey Miss Monika! Mommy didn’t have any power at work yesterday, so she had to come home and work, which we all liked, especially me, cause she didn’t take me cause she had to go to the dentist right after work and I guess dogs aren’t allowed there. XOX Xena

  9. That sounds like a totally pawsome 9th birthday Xena…except for the whole bath/groom part. I sure hope my 9th birthday is half as good as yours, only one month until we are the same age again!

  11. Those videos are too cool for school, Princess. We would have respionded yesterday but experienced yet another power outage. Grrr. It’s like the power company is rebuilding the transmission lines one foot at a time per day. It’s getting ridiculous. Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday and all those treats….my goodness. Sounds like a yummy day and loads of fun at the dog park and tasty treat puzzles. Well done! 🦴🎉🦴 Enjoy all those new tastes.
