Xena, Homeowner

Xena: Look, Chia, I got another letter today!

Chia: Well quick, open it! *mumbles: why don’t I ever get any mail?*

Xena: I think Mommy was right when I got the first letter. This one’s from the same people. It says “multiple attempts” to reach you regarding the home warranty…secured by Tennessee VLY FCU.” They haven’t made multiple attempts; just two. And I’ve seen how our home is secured. It’s got a baement and cement and bricks and stuff like that to hold it in place. I think they’re just trying to get my treats.

Chia: Should we tell Mom? I heard her and Dad talking about paying a lot in repair costs already this year. Or…could “warranty” mean a warrant for your arrest?

Xena: No, if it was that, I think it would have been addressed to you. *almost falls on floor laughing*

If you missed Xena’s first “scam” mail, you can read it here.

  1. Oh, boy, not again!

I get scam emails once in a while…they are getting sneakier these days.

I had some mail from the state of PA telling me I had driven through a toll booth with my van…then they showed an image of the plate. Um…it was a PA plate that had been modified so that it looked like mine, but mine is an MI plate. (And I had been at work all of those times, hundreds of miles away, BOL!) I got this three times before they stopped sending them…I hope they caught the culprit!
